Calgary Regionals Rocked!!!

I had an amazing time at the Calgary Regional Celebrations for Close to my Heart! From meeting Jeanette and her amazing team from Salt Lake City, classes filled with a wealth of information, beautiful inspiring artwork, all the incredible consultants I met (new and old), right down to give aways, contests, and swaps. My mind is racing trying to retain everything I learned. I made new friends and strengthened existing friendships, I laughed soooooo much, o.k. sometimes I snorted, I cried during presentations and screamed with excitement over so many things. It was fast paced and exciting, and it was everything I expected it would be and so much more. I will defiantly be doing this again. I'm going to share some of the artwork we did and my contest layout tonight. I will try to get to the photos tomorrow.
These two cards were made using the Stardust pp, same design with the other side of the paper.

This layout is done with the daydream pp, this is my least favorite pp of the spring idea book, but I'm loving this layout and can't wait to add my photos. I love it when that happens.

Sneak peak alert.
This layout was made with the new Back Country pp, Stickease, Dimensional Elements In Colour-Adventure, the Campin' Fever ss, and The Workshop on the Go guide. I Love It! I really am loving the wotg.

I sigh when I look at this pp. Unforgettable. Need I say more? Can you tell this is my favorite pp from this idea book? There are some really cute elements in this lo.

The last thing I want to share in this post is my layout for the contest. We had to use the Fancy Cuts Botanicals. The layout had to include journaling and photos. I didn't win but I was in the top five chosen personally by Jeanette and her team. The consultants then got to vote and the winner was fellow consultant(from the Ottawa area:)) and friend, Connie M. She is so incredibly talented and it was a pleasure and an honor to be in the top 5 with her and the 3 other ladies! These layouts knocked my socks off!!! Congrats to everyone!

I'm Off!

In just a few short hours I will be off to Calgary for the Close To My Heart Regional celebrations. I am so excited to go and meet all the wonderful consultants. I also can not wait to meet Jeanette Lynton the founder and CEO of CTMH. You can visit her blog, by using the link which is located on my side bar in my daily reads. You can also click on the icon for National scrapbooking month located under my profile. There are some fun contests for all you creative people out there! I can't wait to see all the creative things that they have in store for us, as well as the business classes. I'm sure there will be a few late nights, I'm counting on it! I will be back with photos, artwork and my contest layout. I'm sure I won't sleep a wink tonight...

Animal Cookies Card.

This is a sneak peak of the new Animal Cookies creative basics pp. I love the 3/4" white daisy grosgrain ribbon that comes with it. I used the In the Wild ss because I didn't order the new It's a Zoo set. Yet... This has to be one of my favorite creative basics pp so far. I stamped the sentiment on the ribbon, and because it's so wide there will be lots of different ss you can use for doing this.

My Card Swap for Regionals.

I had to make 13 of these babies. That's a lot of cutting those tiny little dresses. lol. I used the *New* May stamp of the Month (sneak peek everyone) and the Emporium paper pack. I really hope the ladies that receive these like them. It can be so stressful making swaps and hoping that they are good enough. Kudos go to those who chose to do the 2 page layout's. That's A LOT of work! Or better yet both!!!

This weekend was my sister's baby shower. We had a good turn out and lots of fun. She is expecting her second child but due to complications the first pregnancy we had to cancel her shower for that baby. So sad, but a healthy baby so that's all that matters. This time however, I tried to make sure it was a little earlier so that it actually happened. LOL! It was a great day! She got some really beautiful gifts and cards. M is going to make a great big brother and we can't wait to meet the little guy soon. You can visit her and her plagues at Mama Never Said There Would Be Days Like This, located on my daily read list. She is very entertaining, and of course I love her!
