Grade 8
Whenever I look at any old photo of my oldest it always gives me a sense of awe and panick. I can't believe how fast the time slips away from us. I remember thinking this is the begining of the end, the time when he would no longer want us or need us. I was wrong. Thank goodness. He is becoming such a wonderful young man. Yes there are days I might think about clobbering him and days that he tries my patience to the very limit but he is so kind hearted.

Grade 6
Another older photo I just got around to scrapping. The yearbook papers by SC are perfect for any school layouts. I remember how excited C was to be going into grade 6. The whole oldest in the school thing:) She really set a good example for the younger kids.

Not Every First Day Is A Happy One.
As you can see by the look on my sweet boys face he was not excited or happy to enter kindergarten. Looking back we both shed some tears that day. I just love this photo as it documents a time when his need for us was greater than his need to venture out into that scary new world. Now three years later he is so full of confidence and the knowledge that we will always be there for him just like we were that first day as he broke away from us and later joined us as we met him at the gate at the end of the day.

Camping 2012
This year we have only been able to go camping once:( I know there are a lot of people out there who couldn't be bothered or who do not enjoy camping but we do. These are the times my kids will remember forever. Where we build memories and reconnect as a family. We do it the old fashioned way too. In a tent. With the bugs and raccoons surrounding us. We build fires, and hike and explore new areas. We put up tents, and swim(to islands:)), and build sandcastles. We play games(sometimes we play them in slippers???), fish, and tell spooky stories. We try to figure out what kind of bug we've found or what bird is calling. We teach our dog to swim:). We rest. We relax. We laugh. Each time we try to find somewhere new to go. This year it was the beautiful Charleston Lake Provincial Park.
At the Beach.
For Mom's birthday this year we headed to the beach and then later back to my house for a BBQ, cake, and presents. I have been wanting to try this small beach for a couple of years now as it is not so crowded or well known as the others i would never dream of swimming in. The fact that there is an icecream boat that floats up to shore is the kicker for this one I think:)
Funny how the only water pic's I got were at the icecream boat. hahaha.
The birthday girl:)
When in doubt just get two cakes:)
Canada Day in Photos

Scrappy post ahead.
Here are a couple of layout's I made for Tina's on my scrap weekend away. Both of them feature the Reminisce line. The graduation layout is my daughter's grade six graduation photo. I used a Dr. Seuss Quote on it. The Canada paper is a few photos of my friends family from the Canada Day celebrations downtown. She was nice enough to let me use them because I didn't have any of my own to use and the 1st is two months away. I have more layouts that I made but I thought I would space them out a bit:)
Happy Tuesday:)

Quote of the day Layout.
This is the layout I made using the quote of the day from my last post. I was inspired by a Pinterest layout I saw but switched it up some.
I'm just back from a weekend away at a rented cottage with some friends. It was beautiful. I had such a good time. We had so much yummy food made from pins we liked on Pinterest and many beautiful layouts and cards were made by all. Here's a look at the amazing view we had.

Scrappy
It's been awhile since I've posted something scrappy. I made this Christmas mini for Tina. It's the perfect time to get all those great photos from the holidays scrapped. I used the Christmas Wishes from Bella Blvd.
This next page is from the same paper pack. A spin on using papers for something they may not have been designed for.
This last page is from the La Banquise line from Harmonie.
That's all I've got so far:)
Happy Family Day!

Happy 2012!
It's been far to long since I last blogged. It seems as though the Christmas season just snuck past us. Work was insainly busy and there seemed to be little time for anything but that. I am thankful for a fresh start and a new year. I have no resolutions (because I won't keep them)but I do have a long list of must do's for 2012 which do included getting back into scrapping mode. I've missed that time that is just for me to be creative. I am pleased that tonight I started right back into it with an almost completed Christmas album. My fingers are ink, glitter, and glue stained, and I'm a happy camper. So I wish you a year full of dreams, health, and much happiness. xo
